A 5 minute walk to the Paihia - Russell Ferry departure Wharf and the beachfront.

Driving Directions
From Auckland, follow SH1 north through Whangarei to Kawakawa.  Approx 3 hours drive.  From there take SH11 to Opua.  Take the regular vehicle ferry from Opua to Okaito.  Cost is approx $10 for car and driver; additional passengers $1.  The last ferry of the day departs Opua at 9.50pm.  From there it is just a 9km drive to Russell.  Alternatively you can drive to Russell via the Coastal Road.  Turn right off SH1 approx 20km north of Whangarei onto Old Russell Road which is signposted “Oakura”.
