TWO NEW BROCHURES HOT OFF THE PRESSES
Enhance PR Media Release, 25 August 2009
New Zealand Apartments and New Zealand Luxury Motels have each released their new
directories for the 2009-2011 period.
Both directories are packed with detailed information about each of the many apartment and
motel accommodations in both collections and are an excellent reference tool for agents.
“When making sales calls in agents' offices there are often well thumbed directories at their
fingertips. Now they can have the latest directories to replace the old editions”, says Anton
Wilke, Managing Director.
Through their central reservations office, near Christchurch, New Zealand Apartments and
New Zealand Luxury Motels can confirm a nationwide itinerary for just about any client,
whether they be seeking apartments, motels of a mixture of both. “Many of our properties
now have instant confirmation systems which we are really pleased with as we know how
important this is to agents. The key is that we can facilitate the entire booking process with
just one point of contact”.

LUXURIATE IN QUEENSTOWN THIS AUTUMN
Enhance PR Media Release, March 2009
Is stylish, quality, apartment accommodation in Queenstown from as little as $NZD45.00 per person/per night * too good to be true?
Not at the Villa Del Lago through April and May 2009. Their special offer, available exclusively through New Zealand Apartments, offers guests five nights accommodation for the price of three!
“It really is an amazing deal and is available in the one, two and three bedroom apartments”, says Anton Wilke, Managing Director of New Zealand Apartments.
Villa Del Lago is elevated over three levels on the foreshore of Lake Wakatipu and offers sweeping vistas of The Remarkable mountain range. Each apartment has an individual balcony accessed via the living area or bedrooms. All apartments feature full kitchens and laundries. It is only 1.5km from the town centre of this boutique alpine resort.
Anton adds that it is an ideal time to visit the alpine year-round resort. “There is an active autumn campaign currently underway in Queenstown which features approximately 70 activity or dining deals in the boutique destination. So combine those deals with the great accommodation offer at Villa Del Lago and it makes for an exceptionally affordable autumn holiday”.
Anton adds that there are numerous events on in the region during April and May including the Southern Lakes Festival of Colour, the Lake Hayes triathlon, and 25th anniversary of the Arrowtown Autumn Festival.
The New Zealand Apartments collection presents over 50 properties throughout New Zealand. They are available for short stay (one night) accommodations, more suitable for travellers moving around New Zealand or for stay-put multi-night breaks.
* Based on a three bedroom apartment occupied by six persons. Per person per night rates for a two bedroom apartment (based on four persons staying) are from $56 and for the one bedroom apartment (two persons staying) from $71.

New Zealand Apartments celebrates five years in business
Enhance PR Press release 20 November 2008
It is five years ago this month when New Zealand Apartments launched their new concept onto the world-wide & New Zealand leisure travel markets. Since that time the collection has grown to 50 apartments in 30 locations and has expanded to also include 20 New Zealand Luxury Motels.
Origins
New Zealand Apartments was the brainchild of Anton and Jules Wilke. Anton had been involved in commercial tourism marketing for 14 years. “I could see a huge range of accommodation but there was little in the way of apartments in the product mix and certainly not a large collection like New Zealand Apartments. It also coincided with the development of some very classy properties in superb locations around New Zealand”. With this in mind Anton and Jules travelled New Zealand and personally selected contemporary, modern and well located serviced apartments, with full kitchens and laundries, for their new collection.
Marketing Focus
The collection has been actively marketed to international travel agents at events such as TRENZ and through extensive sales missions to key markets such as UK, Europe, US and Australia. “We focused on the major travel wholesalers offshore selling New Zealand and backed this up with strong relationships at an inbound tour operator level”, adds Anton.
An early challenge was to define exactly what a New Zealand apartment is to the global customer who has different concepts of what an ‘apartment’ is to them. “The majority of properties in the collection feature on-site managers, many of whom are Kiwi, are serviced and overall offer a more personalised approach”, explains Anton.
Expansion
A new opportunity became apparent to Anton and Jules in the upper end luxury motel market. “We identified some key locations where there were no apartments and established relations with leading 4.5 and 5 star Qualmark rated motels,” adds Anton.
New Zealand Luxury Motels was launched in May 2008 and features 20 motels in 19 locations. “The development of New Zealand Luxury Motels has meant we can offer our clients and customers a wider range of accommodation solutions,” he continues.
Head Office
Both New Zealand Apartments and New Zealand Luxury Motels operate through a central reservations service from their new office location in Lincoln, near Christchurch. “This allows us to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for agents and consumers alike. They can book their accommodation nationwide with one point of contact, surety of rates and know the properties will meet the highest in quality”, says Anton. As the complexity of the business grew, so too did the need for a software solution, which has been provided by Seekom.
There are five staff working for New Zealand Apartments and New Zealand Luxury Motels plus additional specialists support provided in the North American market. The parent company is a member of New Zealand Tourism Industry Association, Inbound Tour Operators Council and Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism.
As it reaches this milestone, the company is positioned well for the tougher tourism times ahead by focusing on quality and delivering to customers and clients. ENDS.

Appealing apartments
New Zealand Apartments, which traditionally targets the leisure inbound and wholesale markets, is seeing increased business form the domestic corporate sector.
Anton Wilke, managing director of New Zealand Apartments, says hits on the website from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch show a lean towards corporate properties.
‘We will soon have on-line availability through our website, and that will be an advantage for corporate bookers who can go on line and do all their transactions.’
Wilke says the company recently sent its new directory to local New Zealand travel agents.
‘There is a lot of enthusiasm for this kind of product.’
The corporate market is competitive, but new properties now available through New Zealand Apartments are adding to the mix for business travellers.
He points to Centr@l Precinct Apartment Hotel & Residences in Auckland, Centr@l Stratford, and Museum Hotel Apartments, both in Wellington. Centr@l Terrace Heights in Wellington has been refurbished and The Poplars in Christchurch continues to be popular with the corporate market.
